A new personal development programme has launched to support young people across North-East Wales as they prepare for their next steps in education, employment, and life.
Unlock Your Potential: The Future Ready Personal Development Programme is a fully funded 24-week pilot designed for young people aged 16–25 living in Denbighshire, Flintshire, and Wrexham.
The initiative is delivered by Young and Mindful CIC, a social enterprise focused on mental and emotional wellbeing. The programme is funded through the Principality Building Society Future Generations Fund and administered by Community Foundation Wales.

The programme is designed to help young people build confidence, resilience, practical life skills, and a clearer sense of direction. It is completely free and highly interactive.
Key topics covered throughout the 24 weeks include:
In addition to core workshops, sessions will feature guest speakers from various professional backgrounds, alongside accountability sessions designed to help participants stay motivated and reflect on their progress.

The pilot is open to any young person aged 16–25 in North-East Wales who is:

Shilpa Vyas, Director of Young and Mindful CIC, said:
“Education gives you the degree, but this programme gives you the roadmap to actually use it without burning out. The jump from education into the ‘real world’ can feel like a freefall, especially for young people facing that constant ‘what’s next?’ anxiety.
“Future Ready has been designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and real life. This isn’t another lecture series—it’s an interactive programme that helps young people build confidence, resilience, practical life skills and a clearer sense of direction. For those who may have stepped away from education or are feeling stuck, this is also a chance to reset, reconnect with their potential, and move forward with the right support around them.”

Sessions will take place weekly across various venues in North-East Wales. Places are limited, so early registration is highly recommended.
Cost: Fully Funded (Free)
Duration: 24 Weeks
Eligibility: Ages 16–25 living in Denbighshire, Flintshire, or Wrexham
