Pupils at a Swindon school took part in alternative lessons designed to broaden their learning and life skills beyond the curriculum.
The activities took place during a Personal Development (PD) Day on April 22.
The sessions were held for students in Years 7 to 11 at Lawn Manor Academy.
Will Smith, the teacher who organised the day, said: “PD Days are an important part of our school year.
“They give our pupils a chance to do something different, get out of the classroom, listen to some inspirational speakers, and learn something different outside of the curriculum.

“It gives our young people a more rounded education.
“We’d like to thank all our guests who came in today to deliver lessons, talks, and play music.
“Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do this.”
Officers from Wiltshire Police, South Western Ambulance and a doctor from the NHS visited to talk about the effects of knife crime and drugs under their Blunt Truth scheme.
Pupils also enjoyed a live performance from the band The Mercians, who played in front of a large, excited audience and then took questions about being musicians.
A Forest School activity saw students hunt for hidden clues around the school grounds to piece together book titles.
The educational company MADE Training presented motivational talks and exercises to help with revision and exams.
Another Personal Development Day is planned for July.
