Donegal’s first ever self growth event is coming to Letterkenny on Saturday 30th May, bringing a full day of inspiration, reflection and personal development to the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The Visionary Event is a full day personal development summit bringing together eight expert speakers, 160 attendees, and a carefully designed programme of talks, interactive activities and thought provoking exercises, all under one roof and for one shared purpose: helping people become the best version of themselves.
The event covers the full landscape of personal development covering mindset, fitness, identity, health, sobriety, business and creative entrepreneurship. It is not a passive experience. Attendees are not there to sit and listen. They are there to be challenged, inspired and equipped with real tools to take back into their lives the moment they leave the room.
This is Donegal’s first ever dedicated self growth event of this scale. The topics covered and the format of the day have been well established in Dublin and Belfast for years but the northwest has never had its own version. Until now.

The Visionary Event is structured to be one of the most impactful days an attendee will have in 2026. From the moment doors open at 10am, the environment is intentional and designed to make people feel welcome, energised and ready to engage.
Over the course of seven hours, the day moves through eight speaker sessions, interactive group activities, dedicated networking time and a full live panel Q and A featuring every speaker on the lineup. Refreshments including tea and coffee and Wondr Jellies treats are provided throughout the day, and a 45 minute lunch break is built into the programme.
The Full Experience Includes:
The day ends not with a close but with an open networking session where attendees can continue conversations, take photos, meet the speakers face to face and leave with connections as well as takeaways.
Tickets are out now on www.eventbrite.com
The Visionary Event is for anyone who has felt that pull toward something more. More confidence, more direction, more energy, more clarity. It is for the person who has been meaning to work on themselves but has not yet found the right room to do it in. It is for the person who is already on the path and wants to go further, faster, surrounded by people who get it.
Attendees are coming from across Donegal and beyond. The event is open to all ages, with 16 and over recommended. A business and smart casual dress code applies. It is a professional and high standard environment where people show up as the person they are building toward.
Eight speakers are taking the stage at The Visionary Event, several travelling from across Ireland to be part of this day in Letterkenny. Each brings a distinct area of expertise and a genuine personal story. Together they cover the full picture of what it means to build a better life from the inside out.
Mark opens the Visionary Event by welcoming everyone, introducing the purpose behind the event and setting the tone for the day. In his keynote talk he shares his personal journey and speaks about visualization, self belief and how building a clear vision can change the direction of your life. Mark returns at the end of the day to close proceedings, tying together the themes of every speaker and leaving the room with a clear and energised mindset to carry forward. Mark is the founder of Visionary Coaching, coaches at Grafters Gym and Intensity Fitness in Letterkenny and has directly transformed over 200 clients.
Francie McGinley shares his journey from personal training in his mum’s shed to building Excellence Coaching Academy, one of Donegal’s most respected fitness education organisations.
His talk covers the lessons he learned along the way around entrepreneurship, persistence and what it actually takes to grow a business within the fitness industry.
Honest, grounded and full of practical insight, Francie is a speaker who makes every person in the room feel like the conversation is meant for them.
Leah Mullen shares her personal story discussing identity, overcoming challenges including ADHD, and learning to embrace who you are while building confidence and purpose.
Her session cuts through comparison culture and gets to the foundational work that most people skip: knowing who you are, accepting that person, and choosing to back yourself anyway.
Leah’s talk is both deeply personal and practically grounding for every single person in the room.

Eamon Swail shares his personal journey and the creation of Sober Social.
His talk focuses on community, lifestyle choices and how people can still enjoy social environments without relying on alcohol.
In a country where drinking is so deeply embedded in social life, Eamon’s session offers a frank, genuine and non judgmental look at what choosing differently can unlock and what it means to build real community without alcohol at the centre of it.

Philip Brady delivers a keynote style talk on identity, self love and the psychology behind personal transformation, helping people understand how confidence and mindset shape the person they become.
Philip’s session is one of the most intellectually rich of the day, bridging the science of the mind with the lived experience of change and leaving the audience with a genuinely different understanding of how they see themselves.

Rosa Flaherty shares how she went viral after losing 40kg and turned that moment into a full time coaching business.
Her talk reveals the identity-led approach to fat loss that changed everything for her, along with the key strategies behind lasting change.
Rosa’s story is one of the most compelling on the lineup: a real life transformation turned into a career built on helping others do the same.
She is travelling from Dublin to be part of the day.

Fionn Mc Monagle went from being a directionless designer to a disciplined creative, and is now building a life through design, photography and storytelling while documenting the journey to inspire others to pursue their potential.
His talk speaks directly to the makers, the thinkers and the people in the room whose ambitions do not fit a conventional mould.
Fionn’s story is a reminder that discipline and vision matter just as much in a creative career as in any other walk of life.

The Visionary Event is the creation of Mark Meehan, a 19 year old personal trainer, coach and entrepreneur from Donegal, now based in Letterkenny. Mark is hosting the event himself at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny on Saturday, May 30th 2026. He coaches clients at Grafters Gym and Intensity Fitness, runs Visionary Coaching online and has directly helped over 200 people transform their lives through fitness, mindset and personal development.
Mark’s own story is the engine behind everything he builds. Growing up in Donegal Town, he struggled with confidence, direction and bullying throughout his teenage years. He found his way through self improvement, through books, training and a decision to bet on himself. He went on to qualify as a fitness coach through ECA Donegal, built his business from the ground up and now coaches other people through the same kind of transformation he lived.
The Visionary Event has been five months in the making. It was built because Mark believes Donegal deserves a self growth scene and he was not prepared to wait for someone else to create it. The speakers on the lineup, several travelling from across Ireland to be here, are a testament to the seriousness of what he has put together.
He is 19 years old. This is his first event of this scale. And it is already something this county has never seen before.
Donegal is a county with enormous energy, community and pride. But when it comes to the self growth space, the events, the communities and the conversations around mindset, personal development, mental health and ambition, the northwest has consistently been an afterthought. Those conversations have been happening in Dublin, in Belfast, in Cork. Not here.
The Visionary Event changes that. For the first time, the people of Donegal do not need to travel four hours south to be in a room like this.
The room is coming to them, to Letterkenny, to the Radisson Blu, on Saturday, May 30th 2026.
160 people spending a full day together, investing in themselves, hearing from speakers with real stories and real expertise and leaving with a renewed sense of what is possible.
That is not a small thing.
It is the start of something.
And the person who built it is 19 years old and from this county.

MARK MEEHAN: Founder of Visionary Coaching. Coach at Grafters Gym and Intensity Fitness. 200 plus clients transformed.
The Visionary Event is proudly supported by Wondr Jellies as the official event sponsor. Wondr Jellies will have a brand presence on the day with treats provided throughout the event as part of the attendee experience.
The event is supported by NUVU Media, providing professional videography and content production across the full day.
