• As a walker, I’m ticked that people in my neighborhood don’t sweep their sidewalks or trim overhanging trees from eye level. This has been brought up several times during our HOA meetings. It’s a sloppy disregard for your neighbors. Maybe if someone falls, you will pay attention!
• It is time for me to buy a new vehicle. I used to look forward to buying one, but with all the new gadgets and electronics on vehicles these days that I don’t need or want is making me cringe. I will never use most of the things but will be paying for them anyway. That ticks me off.
• I have a real problem getting my Mastercard approved at any of the Walmart stores. It usually takes four or five times before it gets approved. Sometimes it asks me to insert the card after a few tries and sometimes it tells me to slide the card. The last time, it rejected it all together. I have no problem at Publix or any other business the first try. Perhaps Walmart should spend some of its profit and upgrade its machines.
• Winter Park Costco Optical Department, please hire more people! Waiting 35-plus minutes is unacceptable.
• Had a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday lunch at Firebirds restaurant in Winter Park. Our server, Malachi, was beyond superb. The manager, Ruth, told us he is amazing and a very hard worker. The service and food were great and I want to thank him again for his outstanding service and friendliness.
