CENFOTEC University has opened applications for 50 full scholarships in the “Digital Skills with AI” program, aimed at unemployed individuals.
The initiative is part of the Brete strategy and PRONAE’s EMPLÉATE program. In addition to the scholarship, selected participants will receive a financial subsidy through a conditional cash transfer.
The program will begin on August 3, 2026, and will last two months. It will be an in-person program with 18 hours of instruction per week.
Eligible applicants must reside in the Greater Metropolitan Area and meet the requirements established by EMPLÉATE, including being unemployed and having completed elementary school.
The call for applications is aimed at women and people with disabilities between the ages of 17 and 35, as well as men between the ages of 17 and 24.
Interested individuals must not be enrolled in any training courses or receiving financial benefits from the EMPLÉATE program at the time of application.
“With the launch of the Digital Skills with AI program, CENFOTEC University reaffirms its unwavering commitment to democratizing access to cutting-edge technology education in Costa Rica,” said CENFOTEC University.
The institution added that it seeks to bridge the digital divide and create employment opportunities by developing skills in artificial intelligence.
Applications will remain open until July 19, and enrollment is limited.
