FRUITLAND — As economic development continues in the Western Treasure Valley, one Fruitland city official is leading the charge to sustain its momentum. Fruitland City Councilor Jeff Carpenter, who became executive director of the Snake River Economic Development Alliance in January, asked his fellow councilors June 22 to continue funding the regional economic development organization.
Carpenter has been working to restore interest in the agency, which has represented economic interests in the area since 2009.
