Now entering its 17th year, the programme brings together talented individuals from across the insurance and personal finance professions who have demonstrated a commitment to professional development and a passion for making positive contributions to the sector.
Participants join a diverse cohort of peers and take part in a unique programme of learning, collaboration and sector engagement designed to broaden perspectives, build influence and develop future leaders.
Programme highlights include:
Callum Beaton, President of the CII, said: “The New Generation Programme continues to provide a unique opportunity for talented professionals to broaden their horizons, develop new skills and build valuable connections across the profession. At a time of significant change across the insurance sector, it is more important than ever that we invest in future focused leaders who will help drive innovation, champion professionalism and contribute to the future success of our profession. We look forward to welcoming the next cohort and supporting them on their development journeys.”
Carla Brown, President of the PFS, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging professionals in personal finance to invest in their development, expand their networks and gain valuable insight into the issues that are shaping the future of our profession. Programmes like this are vital in helping us nurture the next generation of talent and ensure we continue to build a profession that is inclusive, forward-looking and equipped to meet the evolving needs of clients.”
Florence Dennis, Lead Business Partner at Willis Networks and New Generation Programme alumni, said: “The CII New Generation programme provided me with fantastic opportunities to elevate my career, from presenting in Parliament to engaging with key stakeholders at the FCA. The standout for me was the media training, which strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and stay composed in high-pressure situations. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional group of peers who will undoubtedly be future industry leaders, making the experience truly invaluable.”
Applications are open to CII and PFS members who hold a minimum qualification of Dip CII, CertPFS or an equivalent qualification and have between five and ten years’ experience within insurance or personal finance. Applications close 7 August 2026.
