AI and social media influencers are making property searches faster and more personal – but they miss the messy, objective data needed for a sound investment.
The rapid advance of AI and the rise of social media agent influencers are shifting how buyers search for and purchase real estate.
The shift was punctuated late last year when REA group saw a quarter of its share price slashed. The Australian real estate portal was swept up in a global sell-off, sparked by fears that AI engines such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Perplexity could allow buyers to bypass dedicated websites.
