Vasco, Goa: As the world celebrates International Yoga Day on June 21, Sumangali, popularly known as Suma, founder of SuYoga, is marking seven years of promoting holistic health and wellness in Vasco through the ancient practice of yoga.
What started as a humble initiative with just three students has blossomed into a thriving wellness community, inspiring people of all ages to adopt healthier, more balanced lifestyles through regular yoga practice.
Apart from being a dedicated yoga instructor, Suma is also an accomplished endurance cyclist. She successfully completed the prestigious Super Randonneur Series, covering demanding distances of 200 km, 300 km, 400 km, and 600 km. She attributes her achievement to the physical strength, stamina, resilience, and mental discipline cultivated through yoga.
According to Suma, yoga has been a constant source of support and empowerment throughout her life’s journey, enabling her to overcome challenges while maintaining physical and mental well-being.
Through SuYoga, she continues to encourage individuals to embrace wellness as a way of life, emphasizing that yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a path toward inner balance, self-awareness, and overall health.
As International Yoga Day is observed across the globe, Suma’s journey stands as an inspiring example of how dedication to yoga can transform lives, build communities, and empower individuals to achieve extraordinary personal and physical milestones.
