Bold Journey Magazine
Lili Stiefel created Soulwork Collection from a deeply personal search for a tool that could seamlessly combine organization, creativity, and self-reflection. Drawing from her experiences as an entrepreneur, coach, and creative, she recognized that meaningful growth requires more than productivity alone—it requires awareness, reflection, and connection to oneself. Through journals that integrate planning systems with coaching-inspired prompts and emotional insight, Lili helps people cultivate intentional living while building habits that support lasting change. As Soulwork Collection expands beyond Etsy into a broader platform for personal development, her vision remains centered on empowering individuals to slow down, listen to their inner voice, and create lives that feel aligned, purposeful, and authentically their own.
Lili, Soulwork Collection started from your own personal need. What was the moment you realized existing journals just weren’t meeting that balance between structure and creativity?
There wasn’t one single moment. It was more so the result of years of trying different planners, journals, habit trackers, and productivity systems. As an entrepreneur, coach, and creative, I found myself needing different tools for different parts of my life. One notebook would help me organize tasks, another would hold my ideas, and a third would be where I reflected on what was actually going on emotionally. I kept wishing there was something that could hold all of those pieces together. I wanted structure without feeling restricted. I wanted creativity without feeling disorganized. Eventually, I realized that if I was looking for that balance and couldn’t find it, there were probably many other people looking for it too. That’s what inspired me to create Soulwork Collection.
Your journals combine productivity tools with emotional reflection. Why do you think that blend resonates so strongly with people today?
One of the things I’ve learned through my coaching practice is that awareness comes before change. Many people know what they want, but they don’t always have a system for noticing patterns, measuring progress, or reflecting on what’sworking. The coaching frameworks inside our journals create opportunities for those conversations to happen with yourself. Through habit tracking, weeklycheck-ins, goal setting, reflection prompts, and planning exercises, users begin to recognize connections between their actions, thoughts, and results. Real change rarely happens because of one big breakthrough. More often, it happens through small, consistent moments of awareness. The journal creates a place for those moments to accumulate over time.
You mentioned incorporating coaching frameworks into your products. How do those tools help users create real, lasting change in their daily lives?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a coach is that lasting change rarely comes from a single breakthrough moment. More often, it comes from small, intentional actions repeated consistently over time.
That’s why we incorporate coaching frameworks such as habit tracking, goal setting, weekly reflections, and self-assessment exercises into our journals. These tools help people move beyond simply writing down their thoughts and instead create greater awareness of their patterns, behaviors, and progress.
The combination of planning and reflection allows users to connect their daily actions to the bigger life they’re trying to build. Over time, they begin to recognize what’s working, what isn’t, and where they want to make adjustments. That ongoing practice of self-awareness helps people build stronger habits, make more intentional decisions, and develop greater trust in themselves.
Ultimately, the goal is to make personal growth feel less overwhelming and more sustainable by giving people practical tools they can return to every day.
Moving from Etsy to your own website is a big step. How does that shift allow you to deepen the experience beyond just selling journals?
Etsy has been an incredible platform for helping us reach customers and validate our products. We’re very grateful for the community we’ve built there. Launching our website allows us to think bigger about the experience we’re creating. Rather than simply being a place where someone purchases a journal, the website can become a resource hub for personal growth, creativity, reflection, and intentional living. It gives us the opportunity to share stories, educational content, journaling practices, coaching insights, and eventually build a stronger community around the values that inspired Soulwork Collection in the first place. The journals are still at the center, but now they can be part of a larger ecosystem that supports people’s growth.
At its core, Soulwork Collection is about intentional living and self-connection. What do you hope someone feels or discovers after consistently using your journals?
More than anything, I hope they develop a stronger relationship with themselves. We spend so much time responding to external expectations, notifications, deadlines, and responsibilities that it’s easy to lose touch with our own voice. Journaling creates an opportunity to pause and listen.
I hope people discover what matters to them, what energizes them, what patterns are helping them, and what they may be ready to let go of. I hope they learn to trust themselves more. If someone finishes one of our journals feeling a little clearer, a little more grounded, a little more creative, and a little more connected to who they are and who they want to become, then we’ve done our job.
