We recently connected with Laquianta Thomas and have shared our conversation below.
My work ethic comes from watching the strong people around me work hard to provide for their families and overcome obstacles. Life has taught me that nothing is guaranteed, so I’ve always believed in putting in the effort, staying accountable, and creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. As a mother, professional, entrepreneur, and domestic violence conqueror, I’ve learned resilience firsthand. That resilience fuels my determination to keep growing, helping others, and building a legacy for my family.

I am a Certified Life Coach, entrepreneur, and founder of several passion-driven brands focused on helping people improve their lives. Professionally, I have built platforms and businesses centered around healing, empowerment, personal growth, and creating additional streams of income.
What excites me most is the opportunity to transform my experiences into something that helps others. As a domestic violence conqueror, single mother, and entrepreneur, I’ve faced challenges that could have easily defined me. Instead, I chose to use those experiences as fuel to create spaces where people can heal, grow, and discover their purpose.
One of my passion projects is Healing Out Loud, a platform dedicated to helping individuals move from surviving to thriving through conversations about healing, self-worth, personal development, and resilience. I also founded Passion Meets Profit Academy, where I teach aspiring entrepreneurs and content creators how to turn their skills, experiences, and passions into income-producing opportunities.
What makes my work special is that it comes from a place of authenticity. I don’t teach from theory alone—I teach from lived experience. Whether I’m discussing personal growth, business development, or overcoming adversity, my goal is to provide practical tools, encouragement, and real-world strategies that help people take action.
Looking ahead, I am focused on expanding both Healing Out Loud and Passion Meets Profit Academy through new educational programs, digital resources, live events, and community-building initiatives. My mission is simple: help people heal, find purpose, and create profit so they can build lives they truly love.
If there’s one thing I’d like readers to know, it’s that your past does not determine your future. No matter where you start, you have the power to rewrite your story, pursue your dreams, and create a meaningful impact in the lives of others. 💜
Resilience has been essential because life doesn’t always go according to plan. I’ve experienced personal challenges, career transitions, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. What made the difference was my ability to keep moving forward, learn from difficult situations, and not allow temporary obstacles to define my future.
Continuous learning has also been a game-changer. I believe growth begins the moment you’re willing to learn something new. Whether it was developing professional skills, learning about business, becoming a Certified Life Coach, or exploring new ways to serve others, every new skill opened doors to opportunities I didn’t know existed.
Consistency is the quality that turns goals into results. Success rarely happens overnight. It comes from showing up day after day, even when motivation isn’t there. Some of my greatest accomplishments came from small actions repeated over time rather than one big breakthrough moment.
For those who are early in their journey, my advice is to focus on progress rather than perfection. Don’t wait until you feel completely ready. Start where you are with what you have. Invest in learning, be willing to make mistakes, and stay consistent even when results aren’t immediate.
I would also encourage people to embrace their unique story. Many of the experiences we try to hide or move past often become the very things that equip us to help others. Your challenges can become your greatest source of strength, wisdom, and purpose if you’re willing to learn from them.
Most importantly, believe in yourself before the results show up. Confidence doesn’t come from having all the answers—it comes from taking action, learning along the way, and trusting that growth is happening even when you can’t see it yet. 💜

My biggest area of growth over the past 12 months has been learning to fully embrace my voice, my value, and my purpose. For a long time, I focused on supporting others and building stability, but this past year challenged me to step into leadership and share my experiences in a way that could inspire and help others.
Professionally, I continued expanding my knowledge and skills while pursuing opportunities for growth in my career. Personally, I became more intentional about investing in myself, setting healthy boundaries, and prioritizing my own goals. I earned my Certified Life Coach certification, grew my platforms focused on healing and empowerment, and continued building businesses aligned with my passions.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that growth isn’t just about achieving goals—it’s about becoming the person capable of achieving them. I’ve become more confident, more resilient, and more willing to take calculated risks. I’ve learned to trust myself, stop seeking perfection, and focus on consistent progress.
The past 12 months have reinforced that healing, growth, and success are ongoing journeys. Every challenge, setback, and victory has contributed to who I am today, and I’m excited about the impact I can continue to make in the lives of others through my work, businesses, and community initiatives. 💜
