Growth super funds have yielded a 44 per cent return over four years. While this golden run shouldn’t be thought of as normal, one industry leader says chances of a US tech bust are low.
Tech shares led Australian superannuation funds to their fourth straight year of returns above 9 per cent, with the average fund returning 9.5 per cent over the past 12 months and a cumulative four-year return of 44 per cent.
Industry fund UniSuper delivered the best return of any super growth option last financial year, reporting a return of 12.3 per cent, according to the annual list produced by research house Chant West.
